Biography
Scott F. Owen, Esq., is an Associate at Pattison, Sampson, Ginsberg & Griffin. Scott concentrates his practice in the areas of litigation, real estate, zoning, land use, business, and corporate law. Regularly, he represents clients in local, state, and federal courts. In addition, he is experienced helping clients resolve disputes through alternative dispute resolutions.
Scott earned his Juris Doctorate from Albany Law School. Scott graduated with Magna Cum Laude and Justinian Society honors at Albany Law School and received the award for Second Best Oral Advocate, in the Domenick L. Gabrielli Moot Court Appellate Advocacy Competition.
While attending Albany Law School, Scott was an active member of the school’s community. Scott served as the Executive Editor for New York Appeals for Albany Law Review, participated as a Volunteer Income Tax Assistant, and was the Vice President of the Business Law Society. Further, he coordinated volunteers and participated in the Small Business Legal Advice Clinic and interned for the Justice Center’s Community Economic Development Clinic. Also, Scott was a Research Assistant focusing on novel areas of law.
Scott has gained experience at several positions before joining Pattison, Sampson, Ginsberg & Griffin. Scott worked as an Associate at a small litigation boutique in Hudson, New York practicing in several different aspects of litigation and transactional law. Additionally, Scott interned at the Attorney General’s Bureau of Consumer Frauds and Protections in Albany, New York.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, with a minor in Philosophy, from the University of Delaware. He enjoys running, hiking, and playing chess in his free time.
